Major coup for OnTour

OnTour™ is developing a considerable following as a Canadian-based apparel company, and has obviously been making noise for the brand’s parent to be awarded a major license from the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Trimark Sportswear Group of Markham, Ont., makers of various lines of lifestyle/activewear; including the OnTour™ brand, will become one of nine official licensees to develop lines bearing Vancouver 2010 emblems for the Olympic and Paralympic brands.

“It’s a major deal for our company,” says Shawn Murray, Golf & Resort National Sales Manager for OnTour™ in a conversation earlier this fall at the OPGA Merchandise Show.

“Everyone is excited about it and its going to mean a much greater effort on our part to prepare for. With the Olympics the eyes of the world are on you so you want to put your best foot forward,” said Murray. Known for its clean, functional, technical designs across a broad range of styles, Trimark joins apparel companies Artizia LP of Vancouver; Kootenay Knitting Company Ltd of Cranbrook, B.C.; Panabo Sales Ltd. of North Vancouver, B.C.; Please Mum of Vancouver and Wilson International of Richmond, B.C. as the Games official Canadian-based apparel sponsors.
